The Setting

Le Faure is an elegant manor house with origins in the 17th century, completed in 1793, and in one family’s ownership until 1999 when we bought it. Le Faure is approached by a long private drive. It is set in 14 acres of its own land, and has a large terrace and great views over its valley, with its lake and a great array of birds, plus the occasional deer and wild boar. The pool area is fenced off and is a sun trap. A barbecue, sunloungers, parasols and tables for outdoor eating are provided. There are abundant geraniums in barrels and pots. In the grounds of the estate are a tennis court, boules court, croquet lawn, a football pitch and a 9–hole short golf course. The surrounding area is beautiful undulating wine–growing countryside and there is a great tranquillity and privacy.
